New Gear and Browsing By Newest v4

After deciding it was a lot of work to put pack filters in 600 filmpacks to use them in my SX-70, I've purchased a Polaroid SLR 680 - basically a 600 film SX-70 with sonar autofocus and an inbuilt flash. It should be in early next week, with nine packs of film, so brace yourself for an onslaught. I've also discovered the "Schedule this deviation for later" function so I've got things cued up to submit almost every day between now and Halloween, since I took 28 frames of 600 this weekend. Love the scheduling function, and am shocked it didn't exist earlier - it's a tool that makes managing social media content much simpler for businesses on other sites, and it's got great potential here too in terms of targeting specific audiences time-wise. I've got it set to post at different times on different days, so maybe I'll be able to make some generalizations about the best times to submit polaroids to get them seen, or maybe I'll get equally poor reception across the board.


So the ever-wonderful fourteenthstar is offering a Movember Art Trade for anyone who donates to the Movember fundraising campaign dedicated to one of her friends, who's also her brass band manager, who has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I can't urge you enough to donate, even if you don't want Fi to make you things, because prostate cancer is a terrible disease without the same level of public awareness that some of the other cancers receive, and also because they named their team "Stubble Studs" which is pretty damn amazing and sounds like a male revue I'd pay good money to see.


So I cheated today, and am throwing in a couple pieces that slid through my watch that were fabulous. The rest were found browsing by newest in the Invertebrate, top-level Darkroom, Still Life > Dolls, Still Life > CPFA, and top-level photography galleries.
